“Skeletons” Ascends the Charts

Pop Evil’s current single, the title track from their recent album “Skeletons,” has been making waves and has solidified its position in the Top 10 on the Billboard chart. This single has swiftly become a staple in Pop Evil’s repertoire and is now on the brink of reaching a remarkable eight million streams.

“Skeletons” – A Musical Gem

Released in March via MNRK Heavy, “Skeletons” comprises 11 tracks that have resonated deeply with fans. Notable among these are “Eye Of The Storm,” which achieved the No. 5 spot for “Most Played Song In 2022” on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, and “Paranoid (Crash & Burn).” The album showcases guest performances, including Ryan Kirby from Fit For A King, contributing his talents to “Dead Reckoning” (a song brought to life by bassist Joey “Chicago” Walser). Furthermore, Blake Allison from Devour The Day lends his distinctive vocals to “Wrong Direction.”

Leigh Kakaty on “Skeletons”

Leigh Kakaty, Pop Evil’s frontman, shared his thoughts on “Skeletons,” saying, “This is about us as a band stripping everything down to the bones. It’s more uptempo, it’s got bigger riffs, and we’re trying to capture the energy of our live show. But it’s also a positive message. I know it’s a morbid visual, but behind every skeleton, there’s a story and something worth talking about. Overall, it’s about looking at something in a positive way.”

A Collaborative Effort with Drew Fulk

“Skeletons” saw Pop Evil once again collaborating with producer Drew Fulk, known for his work with Disturbed, Papa Roach, and Motionless In White. Kakaty emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “With ‘Versatile,’ we had a bunch of producers, but for this album, we just wanted to work with one person and get back to our roots. There’s an energy he and I have, and he’s been great at helping us build these songs and work around some collective themes.”

As Pop Evil gears up for the “Flesh & Bone Tour,” fans can anticipate an electrifying and unforgettable live experience, as they continue to celebrate the success of “Skeletons” and the enduring power of their music.
