Garth Brooks Announces 14th Studio Album ‘Time Traveler’ in Exclusive Boxed Set

In an exciting revelation for country music fans, Garth Brooks is all set to release his 14th studio album, ‘Time Traveler,’ and it’s coming as part of an exclusive seven-disc boxed set available only through Bass Pro Shops. This collection encompasses Brooks’ three latest studio albums, ‘Man Against Machine,’ ‘Gunslinger,’ and ‘Fun,’ along with the three-disc ‘Triple Live’ concert set.

A Journey Through Eras

Garth Brooks spoke about the album, saying, “There are a lot of different eras on this album, thus the name. Country music’s core is sincerity. After that, you can dress it up a thousand different ways. I am so lucky to live under the flag of country music.” This promises a musical journey through time, exploring the evolution of country music.

Limited Series Collection

The ‘Limited Series’ collection is due to hit Bass Pro Shops on November 7. Fans can already pre-order ‘The Limited Series,’ with orders made through Bass Pro Shops’ online store set to ship in mid-November. The purchase price is $29.95, and here’s the exciting part – fans approved for a Bass Pro Shops Club credit card will receive a $20 credit, reducing the price to just $9.95 for the entire bundle. With 177 Bass Pro Shops across the U.S., including 82 Cabela’s, it’s relatively accessible for fans.

Exclusive Release Strategy

This isn’t Garth Brooks’ first time releasing new material through a boxed set. ‘Gunslinger’ initially came exclusively as part of a Target-exclusive 10-CD box set, ‘The Ultimate Collection,’ along with nine discs featuring tracks from Brooks’ catalog. ‘The Ultimate Collection’ created quite a buzz, moving 134,000 copies in its first week.

While ‘Gunslinger’ was later made available as a standalone album, Brooks employed a similar strategy with ‘Fun,’ which released simultaneously with the three-disc live album ‘Triple Live Deluxe.’ Both albums were individually available through major retailers and digital platforms.

However, in contrast to ‘Gunslinger’ and ‘Fun,’ a representative for Brooks revealed that ‘Time Traveler’ will not be released as an individual offering and will remain exclusive to the boxed set. This unique approach adds to the intrigue surrounding the album.

What Lies Ahead For Garth Brooks

Although there’s no official word on the release of the first single from ‘Time Traveler,’ Brooks has already been treating his Las Vegas residency fans to a new song, “Pleasure in the Pain.” The anticipation for the album’s content continues to build.

The Limited Series Tradition

The forthcoming ‘The Limited Series’ represents the third and final offering in Brooks’ ‘The Limited Series.’ The first edition was introduced 25 years ago in 1998 and was followed by a second version with different content in 2005, which was exclusively available through Walmart.

This exclusive release precedes Garth Brooks’ opening performance at his long-anticipated Nashville bar, ‘Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk,’ on November 24. Fans eager to attend the concert have the opportunity to win tickets through Brooks’ ‘The Big 615’ station on the streaming platform TuneIn. The bar, located on Lower Broadway, will open for the night and is set to officially open its doors in 2024.
